Living History is an immersive acting exercise. Over the course of several days, actors live in a specific period in history, living in period costumes and in a specific location. It is a very unique experience and it is extremely demanding. This extended improvisation aims to stretch actors both physically and mentally, allowing them to stop thinking and just truly be. When an actor has the chance to experience the beauty and cruelty of Living History, we believe, he’s forever changed as a human and as an actor.

 

We learned Living History during our graduate studies at East 15 Acting School. East 15 is one of the only schools in the world to offer this type of experience and students from all around the world choose to attend East 15 specifically so they can experience Living History. Because we have experience performing and directing Living History, we understand the process and its requirements.

 

We organize tailored Living History for acting students or professionals in search of a life and career changing experience.

Location: Concentration camp – WW2 

Characters: Prisoners and Camp personnel 

Duration: 10 days including preparation, Living History and debriefing
